In the year of our Lord 2009, we crossed the threshold of this peculiar old dwelling and foolishly decided to call it home. Built in 1886, its walls have witnessed more than a century of secrets, whispers, strange happenings, and things that refuse to be explained. Beneath its floors lie an old coal room, a forgotten cellar entrance, and a hidden room whose purpose is best left to the imagination.
And then there are the ghosts. We suspect there are one or two.
Yet each autumn, when the veil grows thin, the house awakens.
The candles are lit. The shadows gather. The maze takes shape.
And something from the darkness is summoned.
For one night only, the Thurstin House of Hexes opens its doors for an annual gathering of the spooky, the wicked, the wonderfully disguised, and those foolish enough to enter willingly.
A new haunting awaits each year, complete with a haunted theme, sinister maze, curious creatures, peculiar surprises, and things lurking where you least expect them.
Come prepared to partake in wicked bites, eerie elixirs, and suspiciously spirited sips.
Consume what is offered at your own risk. Should anything move on your plate, whisper from your glass, or follow you home…We accept no responsibility.
Those appearing in disguise shall be presented before the Halloween tribunal.
Judging closes at 9:30 p.m. sharp. Prizes shall be bestowed upon those deemed sufficiently wicked, wickedly wonderful, or otherwise deserving. Whether you shall wish to take your prize home…
remains to be seen.
The house is dark. The maze is treacherous. The spirits are plentiful. The floors are unforgiving.
And there may be creatures in the shadows that have no interest in letting you leave.
Children ages 1–18 are therefore forbidden from entering the premises.
This decree has been issued due to the level of fright, tripping hazards, alcohol, and the very real possibility that any underage trespasser may be fed directly to the monster, ghost, witch, or other unfortunate entity summoned by this year's theme.
No appeals shall be heard. No refunds shall be granted. No missing children shall be investigated until morning.
Come cloaked. Come curious. Come hungry. Come prepared to be haunted. The candles will burn.
The spirits will rise. The house will be waiting. Enter if you dare.
